Terms of Service
These terms apply to anyone using Legible at legible.cv. By starting a session, you agree to them. They are written in plain English because you deserve to understand what you are agreeing to.
1. The service
Legible is an AI-powered CV rebuilding service. You upload your CV, optionally paste in a job ad, and go through a short interview. We use AI to diagnose the main problem with your CV and, if you choose to pay, rebuild it as a polished Word document. You can also add a cover letter.
The free diagnosis is always free. There is no account, no login, and no subscription. You pay once for the rebuild, you get the document, and that is the end of the transaction.
Legible is not a recruitment agency, career coach, or employment placement service. We do not find you jobs or speak to employers on your behalf.
2. What you get
The free diagnosis identifies the main reason your CV is not converting to interviews, with a short explanation of the evidence.
The paid rebuild delivers a fully rewritten CV as a Word (.docx) document, reformatted to a clean professional template of your choice. If you add the cover letter, you also receive a tailored cover letter as a second Word document.
Both documents are sent to the email address you provide at checkout, and are also available to download on the confirmation page immediately after payment.
3. Payment and pricing
| Product | Price |
|---|---|
| CV rebuild (Word document) | €49 |
| Cover letter add-on | €9 |
All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Your card is charged at the moment you complete checkout. The rebuild starts immediately after payment is confirmed.
4. Right of withdrawal
You waive your right of withdrawal at checkout.
Under Danish law (forbrugeraftaleloven §18, stk. 2), consumers normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. However, this right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately when you have explicitly consented to delivery starting before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is lost as a result.
At checkout, you must tick a checkbox confirming that you understand and accept this. Ticking that checkbox is your explicit consent. The timestamp is recorded with your order.
This is a standard arrangement for digital services delivered on demand. If you have any questions before paying, email hello@legible.cv and we will answer them.
5. Refund policy
Because you waive your withdrawal right at checkout and the document is delivered immediately, we do not offer refunds as a matter of course.
That said, we are a small business and we care about the product. If something went wrong on our end (the document was not delivered, the file was corrupt, or the output was clearly not what was described), contact us at hello@legible.cv and we will make it right. Goodwill exceptions are at Legible's discretion.
We are not able to offer refunds because you did not like the result or changed your mind after receiving the document.
6. What we deliver and when
The rebuild typically completes within a few minutes of payment. When it is ready, the documents are sent to the email address you provided at checkout. A download link also appears on the confirmation page so you can get the files immediately without waiting for email.
If your email does not arrive within 30 minutes, check your spam folder first. If it is not there, email hello@legible.cv and we will resend it or provide an alternative download link.
Delivery depends on external AI services (OpenAI and Anthropic). On rare occasions these services experience delays. If the rebuild takes longer than expected, we will do our best to notify you and complete delivery as soon as possible.
7. AI-generated content
Your rebuilt CV and cover letter are generated by AI (Claude Sonnet by Anthropic). The AI uses the interview answers you gave to write in your voice and reflect your actual experience. The results are generally strong, but AI is not perfect.
You should read the documents carefully before sending them to any employer. Check that all facts are accurate, that nothing has been added or changed in a way you would not stand behind, and that the tone feels right for you. The document is a starting point you own and control, not a finished product you should use without reading.
Legible is not responsible for how employers, applicant tracking systems, or platforms respond to your materials.
8. Limitation of liability
Legible does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any employment outcome. Results depend on the job market, the employer, the role, and many things outside our control.
To the extent permitted by Danish law, Legible's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer under Danish law that cannot be excluded by contract.
We are not liable for losses caused by delays or failures in third-party services (Stripe, OpenAI, Anthropic, Resend, Netlify) that are outside our reasonable control.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between us will be brought before the Danish courts.
If you are a consumer based in another EU member state, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence that we cannot exclude.
You can use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we would always prefer you contact us directly first.
10. Contact
For questions about an order, a delivery issue, or anything else, email hello@legible.cv. We aim to respond within two business days.
